Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help ensure smooth daily operations and to provide an entry-level path into management. The role offers hands-on leadership development within a fast-paced environment.

You will coach supervisors, set goals, deliver feedback, uphold brand standards, and manage cash handling while ensuring outstanding customer service and smooth store performance.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• Basic food safety understanding and practice
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management associates; coach and develop shifts supervisors.
• Capably perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Maintain brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reports are delivered daily.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Keep inventory data accurate with spot counts and checks.
