Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in day-to-day operations at our New Jersey locations. This entry-level management role offers learning opportunities in coaching, decision-making, and store performance oversight.

You will lead teams, ensure customer satisfaction, uphold brand standards, and help drive store performance while developing supervisory skills for future growth.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives clearly.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management staff and assign tasks to shifts supervisors.
• Be able to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging periods.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues promptly and ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure clean, inviting restaurant appearance.
• Manage cash handling and daily reporting per directives.
• Resolve customer needs and build long-term relationships.
• Conduct spot inventory checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
