Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help ensure daily operations run smoothly and to develop entry-level managers. This role offers growth opportunities in a fast-paced retail/food service environment across our New Jersey locations.

You will lead staff, monitor store performance, and ensure adherence to brand standards, while delivering excellent customer service and managing safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Motivate and inspire a team with strong leadership.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding.
• Able to lift/push objects over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, coach shifts, and develop shift supervisors.
• Cover duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale.
• Lead with strong organizational skills and brand standards.
• Ensure cash management, inventory checks, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain clean, inviting restaurant appearance and adhere to brand standards.
• Ensure processes comply with policies and maximize labor relations.
