Haller Coastal Homes in Santa Barbara and Montecito seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead daily reservations, guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, inspections, and field operations.

The role moves between office coordination, guest problem-solving, vendor management, and on-site property needs, with minimal routine involvement from ownership. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in vacation rental, hospitality, or residential property management.
• Familiarity with Airbnb, VRBO, and property management systems.
• Excellent communication, organization, and judgment.
• Practical residential maintenance knowledge.
• Experience directing housekeeping, inspectors, and vendors.
• Reliable transportation and availability for local property visits.

Responsibilities

• Property Operations & Maintenance: Monitor work orders, preventive maintenance, repairs, and property readiness. Visit homes to troubleshoot issues, complete appropriate minor repairs within licensing requirements, coordinate vendors, and track expenses. Escalate significant maintenance decisions to ownership.
• Reservations & Guest Services: Oversee reservations team, communications, arrivals, departures, agreements, and reservation records across Airbnb, VRBO, direct bookings, and other channels. Resolve guest concerns from initial contact through follow-up.
• Housekeeping & Property Readiness: Coordinate daily with the housekeeping company on cleaning schedules, same‑day turnovers, reservation changes, and special requests. Supervise housekeeping quality, coordinate with inspectors, conduct inspections and follow up on deficiencies, deep cleans, linens, and supply restocks.
• Team & Vendor Management: Direct and support inspectors, housekeeping teams, and outside service providers. Maintain clear communication and accountability across guest services, inspections, and property care.
• Guest & Owner Relations: Handle routine guest concerns and property‑related owner communications, follow through on resolutions, and maintain positive relationships. Escalate major financial, legal, safety, and sensitive owner matters to General Managers or Property Owners.
• After‑Hours & Occasional Weekend Coverage: Serve as weekday after‑hours Manager on Duty for urgent guest and property emergencies; routine inquiries are screened by company phone systems. Weekends are ordinarily off. When owners travel, occasional weekend
