Job summary

Pure Blue Tech in Bellingham, WA is seeking a sharp, highly organized Business Operations Manager to own the backend of our growing company. You will oversee HR, benefits, payroll, payments, and record-keeping, reporting to the CEO and collaborating with our bookkeeper and CPA.

This role demands initiative, precision, and the ability to improve processes across purchasing, shipping, licensing, and digital systems such as Monday.com, HubSpot, and QuickBooks Online.

Qualifications

• 3–15 years of experience in business operations, HR administration, or a closely related role.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with Gusto or a comparable HR/payroll platform.
• Benefits administration experience — enrollment, carrier management, renewals.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience managing payments, AP, and vendor/supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with domestic and international shipping and logistics.
• Knowledge of business licensing and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own HR, people operations and benefits processes, onboarding and offboarding.
• Oversee payroll and compliance requirements; manage accounts payable and vendor payments.
• Manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and inventory tracking.
• Coordinate shipping, logistics, and carrier relationships (domestic and international).
• Ensure licensing and regulatory filings are maintained and deadlines met.
• Administer digital systems and documentation; optimize Monday.com, HubSpot, and Microsoft 365.
