Job summary

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in Twin Cities seeks an Operations Manager for the Division of Community Outreach & Engagement. This on-site role supports dental, dental therapy, and dental hygiene student courses year-round, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm schedule.

The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, coordinate affiliate partnerships, manage course-related activities, and handle grants, contracts, and compliance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 4 years of experience in operational management or equivalent
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data
• Able to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing stakeholder needs
• Dedication to inclusive excellence and strong written/spoken communication

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct designated operations with leadership input
• Develop and supervise contracted services with community-based providers
• Draft and produce mass communications to students, faculty, and partners
• Assist in grant proposals and grant management activities including data collection and reports
• Manage accreditation paperwork and compliance with funding requirements
• Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts and affiliation agreements
• Onboard new affiliate sites and faculty and support accreditation processes
• Develop partnerships with diverse stakeholders and represent the Division publicly
• Deliver presentations and reports for funders and partners
• Support course administration and student rotation placement
• Support special events and outreach lectures and community activities
• Attend related committees as assigned by the Division Director
• Contribute to a respectful, inclusive environment
