Job summary

University of Minnesota is seeking a faculty dentist to provide direct patient care within the School of Dentistry Faculty Dental Practice (60%) and oversee student clinics. This role includes supervising students in urgent care and comprehensive clinics, ensuring high-quality, timely care, and promoting an inclusive, collaborative educational environment across dental disciplines.

• Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse constituencies.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to manage or participate in an oral health care team for efficient patient care.
• Ability to teach all clinical aspects of general dentistry and assess student performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Faculty Dental Practice (60%).
• Oversee students to ensure emergency patients receive excellent care in Urgent Care or Comprehensive Care Clinics.
• Serve as faculty in Comprehensive Care Clinics, supervising student care.
• Evaluate quality and timeliness of patient care.
• Foster a humanistic, inclusive environment and promote collaboration among dental students and other disciplines.
• Other duties as assigned (40%).
