Job summary

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is seeking an Operations Manager for the Division of Community Outreach & Engagement. The role oversees daily operations, relationships with partners, and communications for community-focused programs.

On-site, five days a week, with a schedule of 8:00am-4:30pm, the position supports student courses and outreach activities across the state. Salary range $53,497–$62,000 plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Detail‑oriented with demonstrated success organizing, prioritizing, and managing workflow.
• Ability to work independently and to take initiative.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct operations through leadership collaboration.
• Provide management input on standard methodologies; supervise contracted services.
• Write or collaborate on mass communication materials for students, faculty, and partners.
• Assist Director with grant proposals and grant management activities; data collection and reports.
• Manage accreditation paperwork including site applications and calibration reports.
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements (time and effort reporting, budget reconciliation, grants).
• Draft, negotiate, and manage Division Affiliation Agreements, contracts, and related documents.
• Onboard affiliate site partners and faculty; oversee onboarding through accreditation and reporting.
• Develop partnerships based on trust and mutual respect; maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Participate in committees related to education, oral health, or public engagement; promote diversity.
• Prepare presentations and reports for funders and partners.
