Thruway Fasteners, Inc. is a leading distributor of industrial products, supplying hundreds of original equipment manufacturers in 40 states and 28 countries. We help customers increase efficiency, drive growth, and respond quickly to business challenges. Headquartered in North Tonawanda, NY, Thruway has six branch locations across New York, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Lead is responsible for assisting in all branch activities. This role promotes a culture of teamwork to exceed customer expectations through effective communication, decision-making, and leading by example.

Essential Functions
  • Accounts Receivable: Maintain customer accounts in good standing, monitor payment status, run weekly aging reports, process monthly statements, and manage invoices and proof of deliveries.
  • Invoices: Complete daily invoice postings accurately and efficiently.
  • Customer Portal Work: Manage paperwork and allocate orders as needed.
  • Branch Reception: Answer calls, check voicemails, greet visitors, handle mail, and manage supplies and inventory.
  • Additional Functions: Data entry, correspondence, office supplies management, and customer statement preparation.
Required Communication Skills

This individual must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and staff. Key qualities include good judgment, quick decision-making, problem-solving, organizational skills, integrity, self-motivation, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and business planning software. A valid driver’s license is required.

Work Environment
  • Occasional travel to other branches, suppliers, and training sessions.
  • Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Sitting 80% of the time, standing and movement 20%.
