Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Operations Generalist in Springdale, AR to apply masking tape according to schematics, prep for painting and plasma, and support machining as part of a precision aerospace operation.

Responsibilities include moving materials, stocking toolboxes, cleaning and rust prevention, and safe, timely transport of parts across campus. Onsite role with 2nd shift and weekend options, 36 hours paid for 40.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency with hand tools.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Experience with hand and power tools strongly preferred.

Job Title: Operations Generalist
Job Description

Join our team as an Operations Generalist where you will be responsible for case masking for shot peen, painting preparation, plasma prep, and machining. Your role will involve following detailed schematics to apply masking tape to components, ranging from small parts to those housing 112-inch engine blades. Your attention to detail and precision will be key in ensuring the quality of our components.

Responsibilities
  • Apply masking tape to components based on detailed schematics, considering task, component size, and scope.
  • Collect and deliver materials, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of parts to their respective cells.
  • Refill toolboxes in each cell and help manage Foreign Object Debris (FOD) by locating missing or misplaced parts.
  • Operate aqueous cleaning equipment and apply rust preventative solutions, ensuring all parts are clean and ready for the next stage.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by performing daily cleanup tasks such as mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Track and transport parts within campus grounds, following directions for delivery and timing.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency with hand tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Experience working with hand and power tools strongly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in auto mechanics, construction, or manufacturing/warehouse environments is advantageous.
  • Experience in the medical field or restaurant/service industry is a plus.
  • Understanding of work instructions or blueprints.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled environment within our four operational buildings. Current openings are on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, and weekend shifts from Friday to Sunday, 6 AM to 6:30 PM. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40. Expect to interact with team members from various cells, emphasizing a safety and quality-first approach.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springdale, AR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
