Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 3rd Shift Operator in Seguin, TX to operate equipment and ensure high-quality cut materials according to specs. You will read blueprints, identify materials, and monitor cutting efficiency while performing deburring as needed.

Work is onsite from 10 PM to 6 AM with potential overtime. The role requires lifting 50+ lbs and operating forklifts/cranes, with hands-on supervision and training provided.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing or machine operating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Experience with quality inspection instruments (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).

Job Title: 3rd Shift Operator

Job Description

This position is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment to ensure the quality of cut materials according to custom or stock specifications. This role requires adherence to customer quality requirements and manufacturing philosophies, with a focus on monitoring cutting performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to maintain quality of cut materials.

• Monitor cutting performance and efficiency, including deburring as needed.

• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate material specifications.

• Identify material types and gauges effectively.

• Operate a forklift, overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, and hand tools.

• Lift and/or move materials of varying weights, with assistance for heavier items.

• Read and write job numbers and label kits accordingly.

Essential Skills

• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.

• Strong attention to detail.

• 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing or machine operating experience.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience with quality inspection, calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with general production, assembly, and machine operation.

• Familiarity with hand tools, air tools, and assembly lines.

• Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
