Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a General Production Worker for a contract-to-hire position in Spokane Valley, WA. You will operate roll formers and polishing lathes, inspect parts, and assist with welding processes in a clean, low-stress environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to AS9100/ISO 9001 standards, and data entry in Excel. Physical work involves handling metals and precise measurements; the 4×10 schedule offers Fridays off and onsite duties only.

Qualifications

• Basic math and counting skills

• Comfortable handling small parts and performing repetitive work
• Aerospace manufacturing experience (AS9100/ISO 9101) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate roll formers and polishing lathes to manufacture metal seals for aerospace
• Load sheet metal bands onto roll-forming machines and operate foot-controlled equipment
• Inspect parts during production and ensure quality standards
• Polish metal seals manually or with polishing equipment
• Cut and prepare metal materials for welding operations
• Measure large seals using pi-tape and calipers
• Assist with machine setups, tool adjustments, and precision measurements to thousandths
• Operate semi-automatic TIG welding equipment to weld metal strips into bands
• Align seams and perform machine-assisted welding processes
• Conduct final quality inspections using calipers, depth gauges and magnification
• Verify product dimensions, thickness and weld quality
• Review job travelers and inspection requirements and provide approvals
• Perform basic data entry and use Microsoft Excel
• Follow aerospace manufacturing standards including AS9100 and ISO 9001

Position: General Production Worker

Schedule: 4×10 Schedule (Enjoy Fridays Off!)

Work Environment: Clean, well-lit facility with light-duty work and growth opportunities

Job Responsibilities:

Operate roll formers and polishing lathes to manufacture metal seals used in aerospace applications

Load sheet metal bands onto roll-forming machines and operate equipment using foot controls

Inspect parts during production to ensure quality standards are met

Polish metal seals manually with sandpaper or using polishing equipment

Cut and prepare metal materials for welding operations

Measure large seals (up to 8 feet in diameter) using pi-tape and calipers

Assist with machine setups, tool adjustments, and precision measurements to thousandths of an inch

Operate semi-automatic TIG welding equipment to weld metal strips into bands

Align seams and perform machine-assisted welding processes

Conduct final quality inspections using calipers, depth gauges, and magnification equipment

Verify product dimensions, thickness, and weld quality

Review job travelers and inspection requirements and provide approval documentation

Perform basic data entry and use Microsoft Excel

Follow aerospace manufacturing standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 – $18.25/hr.
