Aerotek is hiring a General Production Worker for a contract-to-hire position in Spokane Valley, WA. You will operate roll formers and polishing lathes, inspect parts, and assist with welding processes in a clean, low-stress environment.
The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to AS9100/ISO 9001 standards, and data entry in Excel. Physical work involves handling metals and precise measurements; the 4×10 schedule offers Fridays off and onsite duties only.
Position: General Production Worker
Schedule: 4×10 Schedule (Enjoy Fridays Off!)
Work Environment: Clean, well-lit facility with light-duty work and growth opportunities
Operate roll formers and polishing lathes to manufacture metal seals used in aerospace applications
Load sheet metal bands onto roll-forming machines and operate equipment using foot controls
Inspect parts during production to ensure quality standards are met
Polish metal seals manually with sandpaper or using polishing equipment
Cut and prepare metal materials for welding operations
Measure large seals (up to 8 feet in diameter) using pi-tape and calipers
Assist with machine setups, tool adjustments, and precision measurements to thousandths of an inch
Operate semi-automatic TIG welding equipment to weld metal strips into bands
Align seams and perform machine-assisted welding processes
Conduct final quality inspections using calipers, depth gauges, and magnification equipment
Verify product dimensions, thickness, and weld quality
Review job travelers and inspection requirements and provide approval documentation
Perform basic data entry and use Microsoft Excel
Follow aerospace manufacturing standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements
Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred
Basic math and counting skills
Experience using measuring tools such as calipers
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Comfortable handling small parts and performing repetitive work
Aerospace manufacturing experience (AS9100/ISO 9101) is a plus
Work on components used in jets, rockets, and aircraft
Clean, organized, and climate-friendly work environment
Low-stress production setting with minimal micromanagement
Primarily seated, light-duty work

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
The pay range for this position is $17.25 – $18.25/hr.
