Job summary

Stord is seeking an Operations Manager - OPEX to support the expansion of our fulfillment network by helping new and transitioning sites launch, ramp, and stabilize successfully. This hands-on role travels to fulfillment centers and embeds on-site for multi-week periods to build leaders and ensure execution of Stord’s operating standards.

You’ll train and coach on-site operations managers, run shifts when needed, and act as an interim leader during launches.

Qualifications

5+ years in a high-volume warehouse, fulfillment, or eCommerce setting.
Experience as an Operations Manager or senior operations leader with direct reports.
Proven coaching and development ability for warehouse leadership teams.
Experience leading large hourly teams (60+ associates) and multiple salaried leaders.
Working knowledge of WMS, RF scanning, and warehouse tools; proficient in Excel/Google Suite.
Strong communication that influences across levels and functions; hands-on mindset.

Responsibilities

Embed at new or expanding fulfillment sites to support launch readiness and go-live execution.
Onboard and coach new operations managers and frontline leaders through hands-on training.
Run shifts, lead stand-ups, and manage day-to-day execution when needed.
Act as interim Operations Manager during site openings or leadership transitions.
Lead execution of inbound, outbound, inventory, quality, and labor planning processes.
Develop SOPs and training materials based on on-site learnings; drive improvements.
