Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead the lifecycle of cross-functional projects delivering next-generation sortation and distribution solutions. You will partner with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely handover and successful delivery of engineering objectives.

You will travel up to 75% domestically, work from a corporate office when not traveling, and apply your experience with material handling systems to improve facility networks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and automated systems is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% nationwide for project work.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of cross-functional projects delivering material handling system solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to set milestones and schedules.
• Lead execution for equipment designs, installation, and qualifications.
• Capture meeting notes and maintain project documentation for leadership.
• Communicate risk analysis and mitigation plans regularly.
• Travel up to 75% domestically; occasional office work when not traveling.
