Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer in Chicago to lead cross-functional projects spanning distribution and sortation systems. You will partner with internal teams and vendors to deliver on time, within budget, and with safety and quality at the forefront.

You will oversee installation, integration, and qualification of systems, while driving continuous improvements and maintaining stakeholder alignment across multiple sites. This role requires travel and a proactive, process-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience in construction or project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle of cross-functional projects across teams and geographies.
• Participate in engineering reviews and influence system architecture and plant processes.
• Set priorities, milestones, and schedules with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate execution of system and equipment designs per established standards.
• Communicate project status and risk mitigation plans to leadership and partners.
• Support/coach teams on safety, installation standards, and knowledge sharing.
