Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional projects spanning distribution and facility networks. You will partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver scalable material handling solutions and drive program initiatives.

The role requires 75% travel and office-based work when not on-site, with relocation options and exposure to a global engineering team. You will influence design, safety, and execution standards across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field.
• Experience with Material handling equipment (MHE).
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL.
• Travel up to 75% nationwide.
• 3+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of cross-functional projects, delivering on objectives across geographies.
• Participate in engineering reviews and influence solutions at system level.
• Set priorities, milestones, and schedules with internal/external teams.
• Lead installation, throughput and safety qualifications of systems and equipment.
