Job summary

Iru is seeking an Operations Engineer who will become the first builder in our Operations function, reporting to the Head of Operations. You will design and implement integrations, automate workflows, and build internal apps that reduce manual work while enabling scalable growth.

The role blends business operations with engineering, requiring both operational judgment and technical capability to improve capacity and automate critical processes across AR, ERP, FP&A tooling, and data

Qualifications

• 2+ years building and scaling operations with a technical skew.
• Something you built that runs without you.
• Python and SQL, hands-on.
• Integration fundamentals: REST, webhooks, JSON, auth patterns.
• Build internal applications used by non-technical users.
• Build with AI: agent-driven workflows and model-driven steps.
• Experience in linking data across systems.
• Ability to ship tools that people actually adopt.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain integrations and automations across our internal stack to move data between systems.
• Write code when off-the-shelf tools don’t fit; build the thing that does.
• Build internal applications that replace spreadsheets or email threads.
• Put AI into workflows with guardrails and human-in-the-loop where needed.
• Own automation quality end-to-end: logging, error handling, monitoring, retries.
