Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects within the NA Ops Eng team. You will design, build, and improve order fulfillment infrastructure across the global distribution network while coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to meet schedule, budget, safety and quality targets.

The role requires 75% travel regionally and relocation flexibility to be near a corporate office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Experience with automated equipment including packaging machinery and sortation systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, improve, and innovate order fulfillment infrastructure across the large-scale network.
• Manage medium scope integrated automation projects with high-speed sortation and conveyors.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, safety and quality with vendors or subcontractors.
• Lead coordination between internal teams and outside vendors on specs, layout, and processes.
• Develop and manage contracts, change orders, and invoicing.
