Job summary

Avery Dennison’s North America Operations Early Career Program (OECP) offers a 24‑month, on‑the‑job and classroom training path for Engineering graduates. You’ll rotate through dynamic manufacturing environments and distribution centers while applying Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve quality, throughput, and efficiency.

Strong leadership from student activities and volunteer work is valued. Relocation to one of several sites is required during the program, with a start around December/May

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, etc.) with a December/May graduation timeline.
• Previous internship/co-op experience required or relevant manufacturing work experience.
• Leadership experience via student organizations (e.g., ASME, SWE, NSBE, SHPE, etc.).
• Demonstrated engagement in volunteerism or similar activities.

Responsibilities

• On-site position across dynamic manufacturing environments and distribution centers.
• Lead and conduct problem solving using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Support process improvements and equipment upgrades to minimize scrap and increase productivity.
• Develop and implement control systems to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Provide on-machine expertise to operators to meet delivery and performance targets.
• Develop project timelines and drive execution of tasks to deliver goals.
