Avery Dennison’s North America Operations Early Career Program (OECP) offers a focused 24-month training curriculum to build talent for our operations teams. This on-site role places you in dynamic manufacturing environments and distribution centers where you will contribute to lean initiatives and process improvements under mentorship.

The program emphasizes cross-functional development and readiness for operations leadership, with site assignments across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with December/May graduation timelines.
• Internship/co-op experience required or relevant manufacturing work experience.
• Leadership experience via student organizations (e.g., SWE, NSBE, ASME, etc.).
• Demonstrated engagement in volunteerism or similar activities.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Must be willing to relocate to any of our sites while on the early career program.

About the role

Avery Dennison’s North America Operations Early Career Program (OECP) has a single business focus to build talent for our world class organization. With a concentrated blend of experiential on-the-job learning and classroom and virtual training, the OECP serves as the talent pipeline for operations roles throughout the organization. In this role as an Operations Early Career Program Associate, you will join a flexible program passionate about the development needs of our associates alongside the needs of the business, supported by a 24-month training curriculum rooted in our Avery Dennison values.

Key Responsibilities

On-site position across dynamic manufacturing environments and distribution centers.

• Enterprise Lean and Six Sigma: Lead and conduct problem solving efforts and propose resolutions utilizing these tools.
• Process Improvement: Initiate and support new equipment and process upgrades to minimize scrap, increase productivity and improve quality. Assure improvements are sustained.
• Divisional Quality: Plan, develop, enhance and implement control systems to ensure product, material, process and procedural compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain Performance Standards: Provide on-machine expertise to operators and other staff personnel to ensure manufacturing capability and capacity are meeting delivery and performance targets.
• Floating Project Engineer: Develop project timelines, assign responsibilities, and drive execution of tasks to deliver goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, etc.) with a graduation timeline for December Graduates (January start date) or May Graduates (June start date).
• Previous internship/co-op experience required or relevant work experience in manufacturing.
• Leadership Experience via student organizations, such as Engineers without Borders, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, etc.
• Demonstrated engagement in volunteerism or similar activities.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Must be willing to relocate to any of our sites while on our early career program.

Additional Information

The salary for this position is $86,000.

The hourly rate above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
