Job summary

Carpigiani North America seeks a Director of Operations to oversee day-to-day operations and drive efficiency across the organization. You will develop and implement growth strategies and lead a collaborative, innovative team while aligning with other departments to achieve seamless operations.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a proven track record in manufacturing environments. You will manage procurement, production scheduling, lean initiatives, and SAP/ERP systems

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or technical degree plus 6 years supervisory experience.
• MRP/ERP expertise and SAP experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools.
• CNC sheet metal and machining training.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Establish profitable purchasing methods for fabrication and assembly.
• Coordinate parts production to manufacture industrial equipment.
• Schedule parts production with Master Scheduler for assembly.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing to improve quality and on-time delivery.
• Supervise direct and indirect personnel, including temps.
• Maintain inventory plans and control costs.
• Execute project management to meet milestones, costs, and schedules.
• Assist in new product implementations and tooling purchases.
• Make cost-improvement make-vs-buy decisions.
• Ensure safety programs and continuous improvement.
