Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking an Operations Coordinator at our equipment processing center in Houston, TX. This role focuses on coordinating customer service, inventory control, and production workorders to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in customer service and inventory control, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Excel. You'll work in a fast-paced shop/yard environment and collaborate with manufacturing teams and logistics

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer service inquiries concerning account activities, priorities, and status.
• Opens, closes, and reconciles production workorders.
• Prioritizes and assigns workorders for completion to appropriate employees.
• Coordinates account activities with manufacturing personnel and Third Party Logistics Provider.
• Tracks inbound parts and equipment and forecasts incoming volume.
• Maintains equipment inventory, tracking, location, status, and billing systems.
• Enters product receipts and picks into inventory management system; verifies accuracy.
• Performs reporting and analyzes results to management and customer.
• Cross-trains and performs other administrative functions including dispatching of parts/equipment and printing BOLs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Responds to customer service inquiries concerning account activities, priorities, and status.
• Opens, closes, and reconciles production workorders.
• Prioritizes and assigns workorders for completion to appropriate employees.
• Coordinates account activities, priorities, and status with mfg. personnel and Third Party Logistics Provider.
• Tracks inbound parts and equipment and forecasts incoming volume.
• Maintains equipment inventory, tracking, location, status, organization, and billing systems.
• Enters product receipts and picks into inventory management system; verifies accuracy of information.
• Performs reporting and analyzes results to management and customer.
• Cross-trains and performs other administrative functions to include dispatching of parts/equipment and printing BOLs.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• One year experience in customer service and inventory control procedures preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to interface with customers and employees.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be proficient at an Intermediate Level in MS Excel and have a working knowledge of MS Windows and Word.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional shop/yard environment.Frequent exposure to the elements (such as dust, dirt, rain,) and chemicals (such as fumes and fluids) occur during operation of construction and agricultural equipment, cranes, forklifts, welding, painting, etc.This position will utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printer/copiers.
