Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an Operations Co-op / Intern to gain hands-on leadership experience on the shop floor, working with seasoned operations leaders to drive improvements in safety, quality and productivity.

Start in September 2026 for 3–6 months at 40 hours per week, collaborating with engineers and operators to learn manufacturing systems, kaizen events, and continuous improvement in a high‑performance aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or Business Management. Must have completed at least the freshman year.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production activities on the shop floor, ensuring safety, quality and operational standards.
• Execute and sustain 6S initiatives across all production areas.
• Conduct process, quality and performance audits and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor key metrics like scrap, yield, throughput and OEE.
• Partner with engineering and operations to implement CIC projects focusing on productivity and cost reduction.
• Assist with RCCA for quality and production issues.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions and AS9100 practices.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and assist with scheduling and documentation control.
• Collaborate with operators, supervisors, quality and engineering teams.
