Precision Castparts Corp. in Groton, CT is seeking a 3–6+ month Operations Co-Op to support aerospace manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, and plant initiatives.

You will gain hands-on exposure to plant operations, cross-functional collaboration, and operational problem-solving while assisting leadership teams. The role involves data analysis, process documentation, and participation in lean initiatives, with opportunities for growth and a quarterly incentive bonus plan.

Competenze

• Actively enrolled as a student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Mansioni

• Collect, compile, and analyze operational and production data including throughput, downtime, labor utilization, scrap, schedule adherence, and workflow efficiency.
• Support plant operations initiatives including continuous improvement projects, production tracking, and operational reporting.
• Observe and document manufacturing and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with development and maintenance of operational procedures, standardized work instructions, and process documentation.
• Support production planning, workflow coordination, and plant performance initiatives.
• Participate in root cause analysis activities related to production inefficiencies, delays, or operational challenges.
• Assist with implementation and tracking of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams on cross-functional projects.
