The Arts &Sciences Interdisciplinary Science Cooperative (ISC) was established in 2019 inthe state-of-the-art Physics & Astronomy Interdisciplinary Science (PAÍS)facility to foster interdisciplinary collaboration across the University andbeyond and strengthen research and educational outcomes.
The ISCsupports seven Centers and Core Laboratories engaged in interdisciplinaryresearch at UNM and beyond. ISC operations provide administrative, financial,research, facility, and project support to help faculty, staff, and studentssucceed in a collaborative research environment.
This positionprovides an opportunity for a student to develop practical workplace skills inadministration, communication, financial processes, technology, and projectcoordination while gaining professional experience in a collaborativeuniversity research environment.
Under directsupervision, the Student Operations Assistant provides administrative andoperational support to the ISC and its affiliated Centers and CoreLaboratories. This is a 20-hour-per-week work-study position. Applicants mustsubmit proof of their current work-study award with their application.
