Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking a Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist to lead lean initiatives and capital projects across the Texas region. You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and EHS to boost profitability, throughput and quality while supporting a decentralized, matrixed team.

This onsite role travels 75–90% between Houston, Mansfield, Roanoke, San Antonio, Brookshire and Castroville, and requires strong lean experience, manufacturing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally in precast
• Experience applying lean manufacturing methodologies to support continuous production operations
• Quality control/maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
• Track record of lean improvements
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; AutoCAD; ERP/MRP; project management tools
• Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Experience with project management software programs

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and quality standards
• Identify opportunities for regional improvements with operations or sales
• Provide guidance and training to plant-level teams on lean processes
• Drive process changes through hands-on coordination with plant teams
• Optimize plant layouts to reduce costs and bottlenecks
• Lead capital project scope development and ROI analyses
• Support plant leadership in prioritizing high-value investments
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure budget compliance
• Ensure compliance with Operational Excellence framework across plants
