Job summary

The James in Columbus, OH is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to provide operational assessments and efficiency studies, evaluating how new technology, office layouts, and construction plans impact operations.

You will support continuous improvement efforts, participate in developing educational services, facilitate process improvement teams, and help develop tools and processes used in improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, process improvement, business operations management, or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in continuous improvement.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of databases, computer software, spreadsheets, and graphics needed.
• Green Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational assessments, efficiency studies, and observations of work flow to ensure the most effective utilization of resources within The James; including evaluation of the impact of new technology, office layouts, and new construction layouts on operations.
• Provide support and technical advice to the continuous Improvement efforts of the The James, including participating in the development of educational services.
• Facilitate process improvement teams in achieving improved operational performance.
• Support development of tools and processes used in process improvement.
