RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Operating Room Technician to join our surgical services team in New Jersey. As part of a highly skilled perioperative group, you will help prepare the operating room, assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures, and support safe, efficient patient care.

Competenze

• Completed accredited Operating Room Technician training program.
• Current AST certification is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures, ensuring instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready.
• Provide scrub support to surgeons and perioperative team during procedures.
• Anticipate team needs and respond quickly to maintain a safe operative environment.
• Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection prevention and organizational policies.
• Handle and pass instruments accurately, supporting patient safety and comfort.
• Assist with patient care before, during, and after surgery and support dignity and safety.
• Assist with instrument cleaning and OR equipment preparation between cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Engage in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
