Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist in Birmingham, AL, for a contract role supporting surgical services. Requirements include CST certification and 2+ years OR experience.

You will prepare ORs, assist during operations, ensure sterile technique, and help maintain compliance and documentation.

Job description

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role is ideal for candidates who are experienced in nursing - specifically ORT - as well as both certified and non-certified surgical technologists. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and surgical safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in Operating Room Technology (ORT), surgical technology, or related field


• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred, but non-certified candidates with relevant surgical tech experience will also be considered


• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures


• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced and high-stress environments


• Excellent collaborative and communication skills


• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility health requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and necessary supplies for various surgical procedures

• Support the operating room team in anticipating needs and troubleshooting equipment or supply issues


• Ensure specimens are properly labeled and sent to the appropriate departments


• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with facility protocols


• Participate in cleaning and restocking the operating room post-procedure

$1,677 - $1,768/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
