Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist or Nursing - ORT to assist in operating rooms. This contract role offers collaboration with surgeons and a dedicated healthcare team, focusing on patient safety and efficient procedure flow.

You will prepare rooms, support intraoperative activities, pass instruments, and participate in turnover while upholding infection control standards. BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CST or Nursing - ORT certification.
• Proficient in assisting with various surgical cases while maintaining sterile technique.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment management.
• Strong teamwork and communication with surgeons, nurses, and staff.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by arranging instruments, supplies, and equipment in accordance with surgical requirements.
• Support the surgical team throughout procedures, anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field.
• Handle and pass instruments, sponges, and sutures as required during operations.
• Ensure prompt and accurate instrument counts to maintain patient safety.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer to and from the operating room.
• Participate in post-operative room turnover, adhering to infection control protocols.

$1,936 - $2,048/WeekEstimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
