Job summary

Retired Nurses is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician to support surgical teams in a fast-paced perioperative setting. This contract role emphasizes scrubbing, sterile technique, and collaboration with surgeons and nurses to ensure patient safety.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate CST or ORT certification, OR experience, and strong knowledge of infection control and instrument handling.

• Experience assisting in operating rooms including scrub and sterile field setup.
• Proficiency in use and troubleshooting of surgical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during operations ensuring sterile techniques.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and respond quickly to requests for instruments or supplies.
• Help maintain a safe and organized operating room environment.
• Monitor and maintain inventory, report equipment issues, and follow established protocols.
• Support patient care and safety throughout the perioperative experience.

Schedule/Hours:
