Advocate Health in Milwaukee seeks a Surgical Technologist for the operating room at St Luke’s Medical Center – Gastrointestinal Services. The role supports aseptic techniques, assists surgeons, and maintains a sterile field throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include setting up the OR, handling instruments, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and BLS certification within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification within 6 months if required by department leadership.
• No prior experience required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain sterile field and assist in gowning/gloving, passing instruments, and maintaining aseptic technique.
• Set up operating room, position equipment, and ensure safe, efficient environment for procedures.
• Serve as Second Assistant as needed and report equipment or supply issues.
• Assist with patient transport and ensuring availability of component carts and supplies.
