Job summary

Optim Orthopedics in Reidsville, GA seeks a dedicated Surgical Technician (FT) to assist in the operating room. You will prepare the OR, handle instruments, and support surgeons while maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.

The role requires a Surgical Technologist program graduate, with NBSTSA certification preferred and BLS certification. Prior OR experience is helpful but new grads will be considered; opportunity to contribute to a busy orthopedic team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• NBSTSACertification as a surgical technologist preferred.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with instrumentation and equipment.
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures and maintain sterile environment.
• Assist in clean-up of rooms between procedures and at end of schedule.
• Monitor and maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of asepsis standards (AORN/AAMI).
• Participate in sponge, needle, and instruments counts with circulating nurse.
