Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, TX is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room activities. The role requires preparing patients and the environment for surgery, coordinating OR-related services, and maintaining inventories.

The position is full-time, with a standard 8-hour shift, 40 hours per week, in a staff role. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and preferably CST.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS/CPR required; CST preferred.
• Experience: minimum of three (3) years in health care; OR experience preferred.
• Physical: ability to lift up to 50 pounds; standing and walking required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and environment for surgery.
• Maintain OR and assist nurses with basic OR functions.
• Coordinate non-clinical and ancillary services for the department.
• Ensure supplies are delivered timely and inventory is accurate.
• Support environmental services and central supplies as needed.
