Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS; NBSTSA or NCCT certification as Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Supports perioperative patient care as a scrub assistant to the physician.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and patient care in elective and emergency surgeries.
• Verifies availability and proper functioning of supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Adheres to policies and standards within budgetary constraints and time management.
• Provides orientation and training to department personnel as needed.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards through safe, caring and efficient patient experiences.
