Beacon Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse with strong surgical experience to join our team in Kalamazoo, MI. The role focuses on care, treatment, counseling and health teaching for patients experiencing changes in health status, with emphasis on evidence-based nursing practice and patient rights.

Requires an AAS/BSN/RN Diploma and at least two years of current surgery experience; BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (AAS) or BSN or RN Diploma to start date.
• Two years of current surgery experience are required.
• May consider candidates with less experience who are otherwise qualified.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with patient and family, healthcare team to identify mutual goals based on assessment and diagnosis.
• Diagnose, treat and evaluate human responses to health problems/needs.
• Evaluate outcomes of nursing plan and revise as necessary.
• Assess, monitor and prevent complications related to health situations or treatment plans.
• Notify physician of patient condition and response to interventions, and document.
• Ensure pain is assessed, treated, and documented.
• Delegate to licensed and unlicensed staff based on clinical judgment and skills.
