Job summary

Beacon Health Options in Kalamazoo, MI seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team under RN supervision and ensure availability of necessary equipment.

You will scrub across multiple specialties, maintain aseptic technique, prep specimens, and train new staff as needed.

This role requires BLS and completion of an approved Surgical Technologist program; NBSTSA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of current surgical technologist experience is required.
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• NBSTSA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgical team under RN supervision and ensures equipment availability.
• Scrubs for multiple specialties and maintains aseptic technique.
• Troubleshoots instrument setup and contributes to patient safety during procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to surgical interventions.
• Trains new staff and participates in orientation and feedback.
