Job summary

Beacon Health System seeks a Registered Nurse with surgical experience to deliver high‑quality perioperative care. The role emphasizes collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team to set mutual goals and ensure safe, evidence‑based nursing interventions.

The RN must hold an AAS in Nursing, or a BSN, or an RN Diploma, and obtain or maintain a licensed RN in Michigan. Prior OR experience is preferred, with a focus on patient safety, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credentialed from the AHA within 1 month of hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse obtained within 3 months of hire date.
• Two years of current surgery experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patient/family and healthcare team to identify mutual goals based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.
• Diagnose, treat and evaluate the human response to health problems and needs.
• Evaluate outcomes of the nursing plan and revise as necessary.
• Assess, monitor and prevent complications related to health situations or treatment plans.
• Notify physician of patient condition and response to interventions and document actions.
