Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse to assist in organizing and daily function of the operating room in accordance with standards and facility policies. You will oversee patient care activities in the OR and maintain safety for patients and staff.

The role includes preoperative assessment, perioperative teaching, medication administration, and ensuring availability of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS and ALS certification required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention.
• Provide perioperative teaching to patient and family.
• Demonstrate nursing management in the perioperative period.
• Perform preoperative patient assessment and prepare operating room and supplies.
• Provide safe medication administration and patient care across ages.
• Maintain equipment and ensure readiness and safety in the OR.
• Assist in documenting specimens and QA processes.
• Support continuous improvement and adapt to changing environment.
