Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide perioperative nursing care across the surgical continuum in our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The RN will perform pre-operative assessments, act as circulating nurse, and ensure safe medication administration in collaboration with anesthesia.

Excellent communication and critical thinking are essential. Requirements include at least 2 years of OR experience (ophthalmology preferred), active RN license, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years OR experience; ophthalmology preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• Valid BCLS, ACLS & PALS certifications required upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across the ASC surgical continuum.
• Functions as circulating nurse; coordinates room activities and supports surgeon/anesthesia needs.
• Prepares and administers medications per physician orders.
• Collaborates with anesthesia during induction and emergencies; responds to changes in patient condition.
• Provides PACU care including airway management and recovery from anesthesia.
• Maintains accurate documentation throughout all care phases; ensures proper handoffs.
• Communicates effective hand-off reports during transitions between pre-op, OR, and PACU.
• Adheres to safety protocols and uses body mechanics to promote safety.
