Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners in Ohio is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support the operating room. The role involves ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality perioperative care while adhering to standards and facility policies.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, with weekends and holidays off and no on-call requirements. Competitive wages and a 401(k) plan with company match are provided, along with a culture focused on People, Passion, Purpose and Progress.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS and ALS certified
• Two years of OR nurse experience
• IV skills desired

Responsibilities

• Assess patient understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention
• Provide perioperative teaching to patient and family
• Demonstrate nursing management in the perioperative period
• Perform preoperative patient assessment and prepare operating room
• Provide safe medication administration
• Position patient appropriately for surgery and ensure comfort
• Perform surgical prep per standard of care and surgeon preference
• Ensure all equipment is functioning and available
• Anticipate equipment and supply needs based on surgeon preference
• Maintain clean and stocked surgical suites
• Participate in medical records QAPI
• Engage in quality improvement processes
