Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center in Hershey, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This PRN/variable shift position requires OR nursing experience and current RN licensure, with BLS, ACLS and PALS in place or obtained within orientation.

The RN will provide patient care aligned with ANA/AORN/ASPAN standards, develop and revise care plans, and ensure safety in a dynamic ambulatory surgical setting. Benefits include tuition discounts for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in the state of employment (or multistate license).
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience.
• AHA BLS, ACLS & PALS before the end of the orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the OR in accordance with ANA, AORN, ASPAN standards and organization policies.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise the plan of care adapting to clinical needs of the patient and caregiver.
