Job summary

Penn State Health – Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pre-op/PACU unit in Hershey, PA. This part-time, 0.50 FTE, day-shift position features 8-hour shifts with start times around 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

The RN will provide care per ANA/AORN/ASPAN standards, develop and adjust care plans, and ensure a safe patient environment. Must hold an active RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS before orientation.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in the state of employment or a multistate license under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS, ACLS & PALS before the end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with ANA, AORN, ASPAN and state standards and organization policies.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise plans of care based on physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs.
• Maintain clinical knowledge and skills to deliver safe patient care and monitor the environment.
