Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an Operating Room RN at Lourdes Hospital to deliver exceptional perioperative care. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, perform patient assessments, and support safe pre‑op, intra‑op and post‑op care in a fast‑paced surgical environment.

Requirements include RN licensure, an accredited nursing degree (ASN/BSN), and BLS; ACLS or PALS are preferred (must be obtained within 6 months as required). CNOR and SGNA are optional.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support; ACLS and/or PALS (preferred, must obtain within 6 months based on department requirements).
• CNOR (preferred, not required).
• SGNA (preferred, not required).
• Two years of RN experience in Critical Care (preferred, not required).
• Completion of OR internship program (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and surgical team from a broad perspective and assist the team to create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.
• Responsible for managing the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinating the needs of the surgical team with other care providers.
• Provides pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
