Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room at Rappahannock General Hospital. The OR RN will deliver skilled nursing care, assess patient status, and support the surgical team through pre, intra, and post operative care.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, state RN licensure, and may prefer BLS/ACLS/PALS and CNOR. This position emphasizes collaboration, patient safety, and a commitment to compassionate, high quality care within a faith‑based

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS/ACLS or PALS certification, preferred at hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• 2 years RN experience in Critical Care, preferred.
• OR internship completion, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist to maintain a safe environment.
• Coordinate OR nursing care with the surgical team and other providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
