Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room (OR) at Lourdes Hospital in Kentucky. The role delivers high-quality perioperative nursing care, coordinating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include pre-, intra-, and post-op care, collaborating with the care team, and creating comprehensive care plans. Requires nursing degree and active RN license; OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure is required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications: BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred or may be required within 6 months depending on department.
• CNOR and SGNA are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team in the OR.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment pre-, intra-, and post-op.
• Observe the surgical team and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Manage nursing care within the OR and coordinate needs with other providers.
• Provide perioperative care and discharge instructions.
