Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring an RN II Operating Room in Houston to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate patient care within a multi-specialty setting. You will collaborate with ASC and Clinic teams to ensure safe perioperative nursing care.

We welcome candidates with ASN or higher, Texas RN license, BLS, and 2+ years OR experience. BSN preferred. Competitive benefits and hourly compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher nursing degree and Texas RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in Operating Room.
• Experience with a single service line preferred.
• Basic computer skills and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate clearly with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in delivering high quality age-specific patient care.
• Develop effective working relationships with all members of the ASC and Clinic.
• Communicate information effectively regarding patient conditions to physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families and visitors.
• Perform safe and competent operative nursing care per policy & procedures.
• Adhere to AORN/ASPAN standards for operating room nursing.
