Job summary

Care Career is hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a hospital-based surgical services team in Naples, Florida. Multiple full-time, permanent opportunities exist across night, weekday, and weekend day schedules with on‑call coverage and shift differentials.

You will independently plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative nursing care, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care throughout the

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or APRN license.
• Minimum 1 year OR nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Current ALS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
• Must complete EPIC assessment on first day of employment.
• Willingness to participate in on-call coverage.
• Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients following standards and policies.
• Assess needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Administer medications per protocols and document accurately.
• Maintain complete documentation in the EMR.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Provide thorough handoffs between shifts.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Act as a preceptor for new nurses and students.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Contribute to on-call coverage as required.
