Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time day shift in the operating room at Abington Memorial Hospital. The role requires circulating and scrubbing experience with four 10-hour shifts available.

Prior operating room experience is necessary, with additional qualifications in patient- and family-centered care. The nurse will develop individualized care plans, collaborate with the care team, and participate in quality improvement efforts, while supporting education for patients

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Active RN license in state of practice.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and cultural awareness.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and staff; ability to delegate appropriately.
• Knowledge of nursing assessment and care planning; ability to develop care plans.
• Knowledge of medication administration and post-discharge care.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and charting requirements.
• BLS certification per AHA guidelines.
