Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Abington Memorial Hospital. This full-time day position requires OR experience, circulating and scrubbing, with four 10-hour shifts available.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Knowledge of how to convey respect and collaborate with each patient, family and/or designated care partner in care and care planning.
• Knowledge of people with diverse backgrounds and the ability to convey respect and connect effectively.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques, including partnership with patients and families.
• Knowledge of patient ailments and how to implement a treatment plan.
• Knowledge of educating patients and families on conditions, treatments and next steps.
• Knowledge of medications used to treat patients and administer drugs.
• Knowledge of post-discharge needs and arranging follow-up care.
• Knowledge of tools for patient assessment and clinical judgement.
• Knowledge of health information documentation methods.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) and RN license in PA.
